Swinger club in the museum

Museum Vienna Secession gave one of its premises swinger-club Element6, informs Associated Press.

This happened in the project of Swiss artist Christoph Büchel (Christoph Buechel). He said that trying to provoke a public scandal that is comparable with the scandal, which went up around the series of works by Gustav Klimt’s “Beethoven Frieze” in 1902.

Visitors who want to see the work of Klimt, go through Clubhouse. Mayor of Vienna Michael Michael Häupl (Michael Haeupl) said that he does not approve the idea, but noted that protest, newspapers and organizations only play into the hands of the artist, whose goal was the provocation of the townsfolk. Swingers will remain in the House of the Secession until 18 April.

Vienna Secession is the union of artists, the modernists, who lived in the Austrian capital at the turn of XIX and XX centuries. Klimt was one of the most prominent of its members until 1905. Home Secession architect Josef Maria Olbrich considered one of the major architectural monuments of the Austrian Art Nouveau.
