France reeducate immigrants

New measures to educate children and immigrants as decent citizens invited the French Prime Minister Francois Fillon. Children will read the book a citizen, and immigrants – to learn the language and respect the values of the republic.

Measures for raising a decent citizen of France – the first step in addressing the widely debated now in the country, the question of national identity.

So, in each classroom will be mandatory presence of a copy of the Declaration of Human Rights and Citizen of 1789, and at all school buildings should be displayed state flags of France.

This program touches and adults, particularly immigrants. It is planned that in obtaining French citizenship candidates will undergo a ceremony. They must also demonstrate knowledge of French language and values of the French Republic.

In September in all regions of France, the immigrants would have to pass a course in which the emphasis will be placed on respect for the values of the republic, the principle of equality between men and women and improving the French language. Now this program works in 12 districts.

In April, French President Nicolas Sarkozy will make a keynote speech on the issue of national identity, Interfax reported.
